"Store Edition" has screwed up my game

I went to the official site today and downloaded the "Store Edition",
because one of the free downloads (the charismatic mirror) looked
interesting. Well, I guess that was really stupid of me, because now my
Inteenimator and ACR functions are disabled. I didn't realize that the
"Store Edition" seems to be the equivalent of a different EP. I am
bummed. Can I delete the stupid "Store Edition" and return my game to
where it was before, or do I have to uninstall and reload everything?
Thanks. I used to have dialup and was never able to explore much; now I
have DSL and can do fast downloads and apparently it's gotten me in
trouble!

In regards to your question, that depends. I bought the stuff packs, so I
have no need for that or any other paysite for Sims2 stuff.
The only thing I can recommend is to get your money back, and buy the Ikea
pack. I hope that uninstalling this stuff returns your game to normal.

Make sure you have the latest versions of ACR and Inteen, that's worth a
try, and also make sure you have switched on custom content. If it's
behaving like a new EP it might have reset that as well.

(welcome to the rabid version of Securom). However, I have a suspicion
you're stuffed. Most of the modding community don't approve of the Store
and hacks haven't been updated for it. Honestly, buying stuff from there
just encourages EA to rip us off more. It's incredibly overpriced.

Yup - I figured that out. Uninstalled "Store Edition" last night and
had to put my mods back in...all seems OK now. Pretty brazen takeover
-- reminds me of Norton.

I've not heard anyone say anything good about it. Well, I'm glad you sorted
it out. You do know, don't you, that Inteen will not be updated for AL?

No, I did not know that!! Why not? Just to protest the securom? If

Probably will eliminate any chance of my purchasing AL. Though if ACR
is updated, I'll have to think about it.

interesting with his life.
But Lonestarvln points us to a new message from Jase posted today. Inteen
is moving to 2Jeff's site (Simbology) and he's updating it ONE MORE TIME for
AL.
Way to go, Jase. Great guy.
