Apparently Instant Action (AKA Garage Games) now owns the rights to the
entire Tribes line. There's a copy of an IA blog post here:

I tried it a bit tonight. While the concept is the same, the game is an
original concept unto itself with many things they did. After playing
around for a bit in a solo game though, it is something I could probably
get used to with little trouble.

Just a quick little update for everyone. For those who are interested
in this, they've setup a Twitter account at http://twitter.com/playtribes.
The
game will eventually launch on http://PlayTribes.com. It'll go into
beta sometime soon as well, though I can't imagine it'll be very
long. They aren't changing a whole lot from what I hear. I'd just
keep an eye on the twitter feed, maybe subscribing to it's RSS feed if
you don't have an account.
