I’m having extreme trouble on the rush hour tutorial section. I can’t
connect elevated rail to the elevated station. I’m stuck on this
section in the rush hour tutorial. It states to start the rail from
the station and drag it out but when I do so, it creates all the rail
but it is not connected to the station. It creates the rail all the
way up to the station, but doesn’t connect it. When I try it the
opposite way, the rail highlights from yellow to red if I try to place
rail "through", "in", or "past" the rail station. The tutorial
just says that I need to fill all the yellow spaces with rail to
proceed but one of the yellow spaces looks like its underneith the
station. But everytime I try to connect it closer to the station, it
won’t let me and reads that I "can not place on top of reserved
tiles". I’ve searched on the net and have found others with this same
problem, but with no posted resoultion. Am I just missing something
simple here? Can someone please help? :?

This happened on my best friends pc. I actually went over to his house to
try and see what the problem was - i actually called him a moron over the
phone as i recall - sorry bout that Ed.

Its a common screw up apparently. And no i found no way to fix it, i did
exactly as i did on my pc at home and no progress. Uninstall/reinstall did
nothing. So i know how all this is frustrating you. But...

Dude, its just a frikking tutorial. Move on and play the game. You shouldnt
have problems going on without the tutorial being a sim city 2000 and 3000
fan for years. Is it really THAT big of an issue? By the time somebody out
there finds a 'cure' SimCity5 will be out...
