XP with Sim City 4

So, does Sim City 4 with Rush Hour just not work with XP - or is there
a way to fix this?

well, I have plenty of memeory at 1 gb - more than I had with my
previous computer where it worked well. Basically, it starts off with
a message about not being able to parse the graphics somehow. I click
OK on that it the game runs but the buttons never have text on them,
grid spaces where nothing has ever been placed say "space occupied".
Basically, the graphics is messed up making the game unplayable. I am
using an Invidia Geforce 7300 graphics card.

So I updated the Nvidia card and installed Directx 10 and I still
can't play the game.
