Now that I've stomped Hourwhatsit and crashed Undrentide back into the
desert, I decided to switch back to my druid character for Hordes
(hahahaha...was still thinking in ranger mode instead of druid so had to
adjust thinking...) Thing is, I entered her at level 14 and every time
we go out to Waterdeep we're getting killed by the bear thing, spider
and ugly mug thing that appear...is that too low a level to start with?
My ranger was at 15 at the end of of SoU so I thought 14 would be a good
place to start..obviosuly not...what is the recommended level for the
beginning of this game? No use going down the well if I can't event ake
on the beasts aboveground...but also don't want to cheat too badly for
the advantage..

You'll be fine I think. The above-ground encounter is not well-scaled.
Try to avoid them if you want to visit the above ground shops.

ha! thanks...I was having second thoughts and was getting ready to slam
a level or tow on her to see what's what...I bought the EP on EBAY...was
and unregistered according to the seller (which it was) but he didn't
throw in the manual just the torn off flap with the unscratched code and
the CD....I guess I shouldn't complain for 6.99.....
