I've been d/l and adding portraits to the game. But I have a bunch that
show up as just empty black or white space. Is there any way to delete them
from within the game? I don't see any obviously bad file names in the
directory and I tried viewing them from within the toolset, but the smallest
image that that uses seems to be all ok. Or else it's not showing the bad
files. I'm going to try a targa viewer, but I need to d/l one still. Any
other suggestions, though?

TIA,
Joanna

From what I can make out, a portrait set includes five files, and the last
letter of the first part of the filename (as opposed to the extension)
indicates its size. Every image of the same size has the same file size.
I've read elsewhere that no compression, or variation in file size, is
tolerated by NWN. So, I'd guess that either one of the files in a portrait
set is missing, or is the wrong size.

As an example, here are the filenames and sizes for one of the custom
portraits I've got installed:

AileenH.TGA, 393,260 KB
AileenL.TGA, 98,348 KB
AileenM.TGA, 24,620 KB
AileenS.TGA, 6,188 KB
AileenT.TGA, 1,580 KB

For displaying graphics, I recommend Irfanview, http://www.irfanview.com/
