Ok so they are constantly recoding and building the site.

I'm getting many red X's, as I have on occasion in the past. In the past, I
could still log-in and play games.

I could get rid of the red X's by dumping all my internet temporary files,
etc.

I just did that again, and still cannot log in.

I have a red X in the log-in box and it won't let me log-in.

This is going to ruin my consecutive days of logging in if I can't solve
this...

Any ideas before today is over?

Did you try to reload the page with Ctrl + R?
This has solved many problems for me in the past.

Or maybe they are working on it now and it's only temporary.

If you are using some sort of add blocker, you could also try to add the
site to your 'safe sites'. The site is addsfree, so there is no risk.

I have a friend who has a similar problem. One day everything works fine and
then the next day, he cannot see any of the images. The next day it's fine
again.
While on my computer at the same time, I have no problem.

I have not idea why this is. It seems they store their images in a
subdirectory called http://i.twinskies.com/
Somehow this does not work on every computer. Maybe it's a firewall problem,
or some sort of adblocker.

I know more people are having the same problem.

Maybe it helps if you make a screenshot and send the results to their
support department. When I had a problem I got a reply the same day, written
by Rog, so they are really reading it all and trying the best to help you.

There has been quite some talk of the "random" issue of broken images in
the forums and Adam is stumped apparently. He has asked some people to
mail him screen shots and source code to help him fix it.

I have had SUCH a fun week on the site. On Sunday, there were no
pictures on the sidebar. Just hot pink lettering. I filed a bug report.
On Monday, everything was fine. On Tuesday, I kept getting error
messages; no browser on my Mac could resolve the site. So another bug
report, filed via my husband's Windows box.

On Wednesday, I could see the site, but I could not stay signed in.
Another bug report. Thursday I was back in, but the sidebar images were
broken again, and if I was playing Wizarding 101 and accidentally hit
the hot-pink lettering, it threw me back to the welcome page,
obliterating any score I might have had. another bug report. On Friday,
everything worked beautifully. The pictures were back, I could play
games with no problems, life was beautiful. On Saturday, I went in very
early, so I could collect my Dedication achievement, and as a bonus I
recieved a Random Award. Several hours later I went back to show my
husband my new acheivements, and guess what? The sidebar images were not
showing again. Another bug report.

Today, I was lucky. Everything is working properly.

In the suggestions forum, I have put forth a proposal that they should
have a Canary in the Coal Mine achievement, for those of us who have put
up with broken images, bouncing signins, etc., and still come back and
play the game. So far, most of the people who have responded have been
negative about it because they don't feel it's an achievement.

If you've been having the problems, and feel we deserve it, let your
voice be heard.

Here's hoping we have a better week next week!

Well I did manage to get logged in and play a couple games... but still broken
images almost everywhere.

I can put up with Red X's, as long as things (sorta) work.

I dumped temp files, refreshed, did everything I could think of.... still have
the Red X's. It's not my firewall or anti virus programs, because I haven't
messed with either...

Voila. Today, all the red X's are gone. Every image is visable.

Big chance they will be back tomorrow :).
Strange, isn't it?

Because one should think they would be cached somewhere. On your computer,
at your ISP, anywhere. And still they just disappear sometimes.

But let's hope for the best, that it's finally solved now. :)

I really think its on the TS end of it... yes, they should be cached
somewhere, but if TS is recoding, or just plain moving stuff around, and that
move is not "complete" then we're gonna get red X's. As stated, I tried
everything I could, and couldn't get the images to show... it's like they
flipped a switch today, or maybe just remembered something they had forgotten.

But then everybody would have that. Most people don't. Only a few. Now the
trick is to find out what they have in common. :)

I hope you are right about that and that the problem is over now. It's no
fun playing games this way.

I just read this on the forum, written by Adam:

"I have no idea what's causing that at all...
"I'm sure we'll work it out in time. It happened to Donna,
"we tried pinging the server and we couldnt see it at all.
"It must just be a DNS issue.
