I do know, (at least I did read) that REX folks completely redid their
weather engine with REX Essentials.
But, you are correct when saying that one would certainly want the sim to
replicate the type of weather one had planned for or expected to experience,
when making that flight plan. But, without having both programs, I would
never be able to determine which one was going it correctly, given the same
flight plan, same time frame, etc. But, since I am the low, slow, eye-candy
lover that I am, I am sure either program has the...'little engine that
could' provide the experience enhancement.
