Ahhhh, that's cute! I bet it can climb like a rocket.........
That contraption looks quite nimble. Perhaps the pilots should include a
few aileron rolls and loops for in-flight entertainment during those short
hauls.

Judging from all that rudder, the snap roll in that sucker must be a real
butt twister :-))

To be honest, the Imperial Shuttle Tyderium from Star Wars is the first
thing that came to my mind when I saw that Airbus:

Paint it gray and stick a couple o' Winders on it.
To me it looked like a Gee Bee in reverse :-)

It still looks pretty damn heavy, no? :)

I guess they'd have to start a fifth segment of the market: VLJ-W - Very
Light Jet-Wide.

I think it would look lovely on my patio. : )

What's that new harness NASCAR driving are wearing for neck support? Would
probably be advisable gear for everyone aboard - well, maybe just some big
velco straps around the headrest for passengers (gotta keep those costs
down!).....
It's called a "HANS" device (Head And Neck [restraint] System)

The legacy of Dale Earnhardt perhaps. It will no doubt save the lives of
other drivers.

LOL
Just increase Cm_q, Pitch Damping to -400 in Rec1101, that'll tame it.

To some extent yes but there's another part of the story which many NASCAR
fans don't really want to talk about:
Dale was cheatin' (and if you don't know what "cheatin'" is Vs "Cheating,"
well, it would take way too much bandwith to really explain it...) with a
custom installation of his belts and it caught up with him. Like some
others, I also believe he wasn't racing on that last lap, he was blocking
for the 15 and the 8 in front of him. He stopped being a competitor and
became a spectator/owner. Combine all of this with his dogged determination
to remain "old school" with a simple open-faced helmet and the rest is very
sad history.
It's a very strange feeling to know that I was a part of FOX's 2001 Daytona
500 coverage and at the same event, racing lost a giant.
