Airbus Media Release
Airbus Industrie is aware that the new generation of airliners will cause
some congestion at airports and has developed a new concept to help
alleviate this upcoming problem. The new Airbus A3 is designed for very
short haul airlines that generally carry fewer than 20 passengers. It will
permit airport designers to develop new airbridges which can handle multiple
aircraft at each ramp, thus saving valuable ramp space.

Judging from all that rudder, the snap roll in that sucker must be a real
butt twister :-))

To be honest, the Imperial Shuttle Tyderium from Star Wars is the first
thing that came to my mind when I saw that Airbus:

I guess they'd have to start a fifth segment of the market: VLJ-W - Very
Light Jet-Wide.

What's that new harness NASCAR driving are wearing for neck support? Would
probably be advisable gear for everyone aboard - well, maybe just some big
velco straps around the headrest for passengers (gotta keep those costs
down!).....

Just increase Cm_q, Pitch Damping to -400 in Rec1101, that'll tame it.

To some extent yes but there's another part of the story which many NASCAR
fans don't really want to talk about:

Dale was cheatin' (and if you don't know what "cheatin'" is Vs "Cheating,"
well, it would take way too much bandwith to really explain it...) with a
custom installation of his belts and it caught up with him. Like some
others, I also believe he wasn't racing on that last lap, he was blocking
for the 15 and the 8 in front of him. He stopped being a competitor and
became a spectator/owner. Combine all of this with his dogged determination
to remain "old school" with a simple open-faced helmet and the rest is very
sad history.

It's a very strange feeling to know that I was a part of FOX's 2001 Daytona
500 coverage and at the same event, racing lost a giant.

I know well this feeling, after losing no less than 32 of my close friends
and professional associates to airshow related accidents through the years
of my association with this venue. More than a few of these pilots were
"cheat'in" a bit on one thing or another.
Sometimes I catch my wife, who has known me for 40 years, just looking
quietly at the walls in our den, filled with the faces both of us knew so
well. She's never actually said anything about her feelings to me directly,
but I know her well enough to know that she sometimes wonders how we ever
made it through all that mess intact. If I were to be absolutely truthful
with you, I'd have to say that I've had the thought glance off me once or
twice myself.
I'd do it all over again though if I had the chance. It was a great ride,
with great people, and we did some great things together.....all of us!
