FAA ANNOUNCES WHERE THE DRONES ARE

The FAA has responded to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by
releasing two lists it says include all public and private entities that
have sought authorization to fly drones over the United States. The suit
was brought by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).

The lists include both the Certificates of Authorization issued to
public entities and the Special Airworthiness Certificates issued to
private operators. EFF has posted the entities to an online interactive
map and says "these lists leave many questions unanswered."

They say we are photographed hundreds of times a day.New hi-tech world.

Worked quite well a few years back. A big (large) guy smoked his wife
one early morning. In the end part of the evidence against him was a
grainy vid of a huge guy walking away from the crime scene heading
towards their house. Couldn't see him well but the body size helped
convict him I'm sure.

I think the drones have better cameras no?

If you are a good guy (I am) then it's nice to have this stuff helping
to watch over you. My opinion of course is if you are a bad guy you are
probably pissed.

We have some really dumb bad guys. We almost have HD quality security
cameras now in places. There they are on the evening news looking like
they are applying for a spot in a movie.

Good Stuff.

It IS good to know that someone is watching over you, so no matter how lost
you get, someone might have a clue as to where to start looking for you, it
is also nice to see criminals being caught and brought to justice, without
the authorities having to work overtime to catch them, I like that :o)

But, imagine the information about your were about some how ends up in the
hands of some not so nice guys/gals/organization :o/

Information is power, so is money.

You probably already know that the adds you see in different websites are
based on what other sites you've been visiting lately, but do you also know
that the results of your Google searches are filtered in the same way? This
is good because you'll most likely find the information you are looking for
faster, but it's bad because you'll most likely never see the information
you didn't know about the subject.

Throughout history the "bad guys" have seen themselves as the "good
guys". What if you Yanks are the bad guys?

This whole good guys/bad guys thing is quite sickening when you dig
into it a bit more deeply.

Funny you posted that, I was just going to say these things will
proliferate over the USA until one of them collides with family from
Arkansas killing all on board.

If this has been posted before, sorry. It's the first I've seen it.
They say the 1st officer was giving the sign of the Cross about 2/3d way
through. And what the heck is the sign language at 20:12? V1 V2
ready to roll????

Holy crap! That's seat of the pants flying alright! ......And people
complain about Ryan Air! :-)

The 'routine maintenance' left a lot to be desired as well.

I'm sure it's not been shown here before, Bob, thanks for posting.

It's just TED talks, it should not be harmful unless you find information to
be dangerous to you :o/

But maybe they keep track of us, just like Google, Yahoo, Facebook and all
the other websites does, alongside the governments of the world :o(

Well, this is what flying was all about before computers and other modern
stuff entered the flightdeck.

Looking at this gives a very dual feeling. At the one side I love the
leasurely, laid back atmosphere of it all,
on the other, the bravoure, lack of plans and the 'technical' way
maintenance is done with hammers and
ropes looks discomforting, to say the least. ;-)

Very nice video though, thanks for sharing.

Greetings from overcast Amsterdam,

Jan

I use Firefox with the NoScript plug-in. It's quite amazing to see how
many javascripts get executed when load a typical web page.

There are always times when you don't want "Big Brother' looking over
your shoulder - even if your transient attitude is the only reason.

So what's the best way to moon an airborne camera? Mirrors?
