I don't know what happened, but anytime I fly (any plane) they want to go
left. It starts on the runway and is almost uncontrollable just getting it
down the runway. I have CH products Flight Sim Yoke and Pro Pedals (both
USB). This is FS2004 I have reinstalled the program after removing it and
deleting the FS9 folder (ASSuming this would remove any saved settings).
I have calibrated the controls numerous times, using both the procedure in
WinXP (pro) and the utility that came with the controller(s).

I have a friend having the exact same problem. He has Logitec yoke &
pedals

Any ideas what could be causing this? I know this was NOT a problem when I
first intalled the program, but it is a problem now that doesn't seem to go
away and it's no fun to fly anymore..

I wonder if I should contact CH products?

Thanks.

When you view the controller setup, and you can see the cross-hairs in the
box, is it in the centre? This would see if the Yoke you were using was
dodgy, and don't forget that the single engined props will want to go left
because of the physics( I am sure someone would explain this further). Have
you tried the sliders in FS9 for the realism, but if you say it's every
plane (i.e. the 737 for example) then it sounds like the controller you are
using. But do check that when you calibrate through windows that the rudder
and the controls are cantered - but if you have calibrated, then it could be
the physical yoke that is broke. I can't think what else it could be.

You have a realism setting causing it. You are experiencing a normal yaw at
full power associated with P factor. You can turn this off in FS2004 From
the main menu it is under settings, Realism and Weather and select the
Realism button. From within the sim, Select Aircraft, Realism and move the
P factor and torque sliders all the way to the left from realistic to easy.
This should take care of it. There is nothing wrong with your controls or
the software. Somewhere along the lines you increased the realism (perhaps
when you added the rudder pedals) or perhaps as a result of an addon. For
what it's worth, this is exactly what flying a single engine plane is like.
You always need to compensate with a little right rudder under full power.

Hope this helps,

Go into the top menu and select realism. Then see if under flight model,
you have P Factor and Torque selected. Uncheck them if they are, and see
if the problem persists. That will eliminate the sim settings as a
possible source of the problem.
Then go into control manager and find the controllers settings.
Calibrate the controllers and test them there.
Then get back to the group with these results.

Is it jet as well as propeller aircraft? I had the same problem years ago
and fixed it with the realism settings of the sim. I can only speak for
prop aircraft in real life but there is a left turning tendency under high
power and low speed that you compensate for with right rudder application.

Thanks everyone for replying. I checked those realism settings and they
were already down on the 'easy' end of the scale. The yoke/pedals calibrate
perfectly, yet the plane(s) still want to go left, be it a prop or yet. I
am going to load the program that came with the yoke/pedals and see if there
is something in there that will allow me to reduce the sensitivity of the
controllers. It seems to affect the planes on the ground as well as in the
air.

I know my old 'game controller' yoke & pedals didn't do this, in fact I
still have the old yoke hooked to another PC and it works perfectly..
Hmmmmm...
