still afford to fly
Just uploaded to You Tube at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54Wi07EWnQI

If anyone is interested, I can put up another.

Hi Quilly,

Fantastic, mate - you've been holding out on us all!

Graham, from the Isle of Wight, will be pretty excited to see this one.

Excellent quality video, and excellent quality honey doing the bookings!
:-))

Who was the toffy-sounding bloke doing the voice-over?

Sorry to hear about you having a Kiwi onboard - who did the translating?

Do you have any videos of the Quill?

Regards,
John Ward

the following to our attention:

Aaah.. so that's the legend of Quill.... a sailboat!!
Who is it that appears at the beginning of the video?
and in the aircraft? Bob Sprague or Chris Jarman?

Wow, now that's a sweet little airplane! Looks like great visibility,
unless the sun's in your face :)...... Great video, commentary, and
especially appreciate the music furnished!

Cheers'n beers.. [_])

Very kind remarks. Actually I have been making films for over 50 years but
not of the Flight sim.
The toffee voice in all the films is me I am afraid.
The fellow at the beginning of the Old Sarum video is Bob

John,
I have many videos of my old yacht Quill as well as many photos.
Actually, I have just bought a VEHO scanner quite cheap 49 which is
scanning some very old colour negatives and making quite good .jpgs out of
them.

If I get time I could put a dozen or so videos up on you tube of my life in
the Navy. But I think only my family are vaguely interested.

Naturally we are interested, watching any video is way more interesting when
it's made by some one you know, even holyday shots gets vaguely interesting,
when you know the persons or the places depicted :o)

Bet you chose the one with nice ladies, just to make us ask for more ;o)

Verry well made video, and some nice elevator music in the background, if
that voice is you............well, I wasn't expecting that, sounds verry
professional and like what you'd expect on a BBC production :o)

Hi Toffee Voice,

I'm sure many of us would love to see any videos or photos of the Quill
you care to post, and the same goes for your "Navy Daze" videos, mate! :-))

I don't think I can add any more praise that the others have already
commented on, Quilly. I would just like to add; bring them on, ESPECIALLY
the ones from your service days.

I now find I have technical problems. My old 8mm film conversions are
unacceptable to You Tube, wrong format and also far too long. soIi will be a
few days sorting them out!

Ha! I nearly wet myself the first time I landed at Bembridge. I ran off the
end of the runway into deep mud and a group of glider nuts had to pull me
out. I then only had a handkerchief and a small bucket of water to clean up
the aircraft before I took it back to Old Sarum!

And here I thought I was the only one here that did those kind of
things... Only I'd have needed more than some glider nuts to straighten
the folded nose strut.. :)

You mean you needed some wingnuts? :-))
