fighting the joystick FS98

Hi there,
i am new to MS flight simulator and have FS 98 with a good thrustmaster
joystick, but the problem i am having is that i am constantly fighting the
joystick and i find i cannot relax for a second as i am always trying to
maintain a heading or an altitude,

on the ground the aircraft eg learjet just turns right - goes round and
round and i have to apply hard left just to keep it straight for the
take-off.
i have reduced the sensitivity but no change - what am i doing wrong - it
cant be just yaw is there an indepedent rudder problem?
please help
