The bad news is that FASA got tired of getting (wrongfully) sued by
other companies over them, so pulled them out of the game.
The GOOD news is that the next major release of NAIS shell will let
you play them anyway. (Check out http://nais.annex.com/mercs.html for
our pseudo-marauder...) We'll also have some completely new (from
scratch) mech designs for ya to play with...
