Good news for Marathon gamers everywhere! Marathon is entering a new
age. It has passed the test of time in the hearts and minds of its
loyal fans and it deserves a place of honor. In an attempt to provide
just such a pedestal, Evihcra.com, in cooperation with Bungie.org, is
opening the Lh'owon Ar'kives. Enter the ancient Citadel of Lh'owon once
again. This time you are not on a mission for Durandal, but to plunder
the Citadel's treasures and resources for your own reward and glory.
The Lh'owon Ar'kives is more than just another archive, it is a fully
interactive, highly organized, and customizable online database
COMMUNITY where you can present your own hard work to the world as well
as submit reviews of the work of others. This is the perfect place to
get feedback on your Marathon creations. You have FULL PERSONAL CONTROL
over your own gaming files. Submit them when you want, removing or
replacing them as YOUR need arises. This site is designed to be very
creator friendly. We are gaming authors ourselves, we built our "dream
machine" for the love of gaming and now we want to let you in on it too.
Membership in Evihcra is absolutely FREE and only requires an easy
registration process for full member benefits! Non-members may download
any of the files as well as rate them for the community. Map makers of
a posted archive get more than just a credit line, the archive
description itself can link directly to their home page. Even the
creators profile can link to their home page. There are various means
for creators to exploit their work, and their presence with us.
What has 11 eyes, 28 fingers and 3 butts? A squad of Pfhor Troopers in

You will note that it says "Evihcra.com, in cooperation with Bungie.org,
is opening the Lh'owon Ar'kives". Implying that we're working together
somehow. Possibly just providing the FTP end of things, like we did when
The Mill spun off on its own and left My...@Bungie.org. I think we're
still serving their files.
And I still want to get that damn Cartorium online. Looking for Myth
mapmakers who are also skilled webmasters...

"I am Sam. Sam I am. I do not like trolls, flames or spam."
Thanks for the complements! Let me put your mind to rest, we aren't here to
replace or compete with bungie.org. There is no way I would want to harm
them... hell, I created bungie.org! It is my child, I wish it the best. Evihcra
is working in cooperation with bungie.org and Claude Errera to share many of
their archived Marathon files. ::the Battle Cat holds up Claude's empty skin
sack and putting his hand into the back of Claude's cranium makes him mouth
words like a hand puppet:: "I love the Battle Cat, he is my friend and he is
funny and he would not hurt bungie.org". SEE!! I told you he doesn't mind!
Just kidding of course, we worked with Claude hand in hand to port the files.
Rather than replace B.org or any other archive, we AUGMENT them with NEW
services. Evihcra is not just an archive, it is an interactive medium for game
add-on creators and game players. The map makers tend to their own files and
can communicate directly with the users there either through ratings, reviews
or the forums. This requires an entirely new mindset from the old "download
and leave" style archives. Participation.
I want to encourage all of you map makers out there to check to see if we have
ported your files from bungie.org. We haven't finished, there are a butt load
of files yet to process, so check in every so often. We will announce when we
have everything ported over and they are ready for you to claim. Please SIGN
UP with Evihcra and claim your files, claiming them is easy, you will see a
"Claim It" link after you do a successful search for your files. Evihcra
depends on the owners of the files maintaining them and actively participating
in the process. That is what makes us unique. If you don't see your stuff here
after we announce everything is ported or you never had any Marathon files at
bungie.org then sign up and submit your work! Of course, on the other hand
you do NOT want your stuff at the Lh'owon Ar'kives then let us know and we will
remove it no hassles. I mean, it's YOUR stuff, right?
As of now, we have no plans on keeping bungie.org and Evihcra in sync but that
could change at any moment. Part of the problem lies in the difference between
the two systems, one relies on user participation and the other doesn't. My
personal preference is to have all my stuff at both sites. I can actively
maintain my files at the Ar'kives and back them up at bungie.org. If you have
ever lost anything you worked hard on you know you can't have enough backups.
To sum it up, our intentions are honorable, we want Marathon to continue its
long and healthy life and so does bungie.org. That is why we worked together to
do this good thing. Enjoy!

PS: Rubicon is now at the Lh'owon Ar'kives!

Actually, it turns out we're not serving their files anymore. Sorry
about the mix-up.

Bryant Brandon! The poster boy for The Crusade! Gosh blast it so much
has changed since we last fought the good fight. I have a new
prosthetic to replace the "Devorak 10"! It is called "the couch"
because we used to sit on it and watch TV in the living room. Actually
I didn't mean to make it a new prosthetic, it just sort of happened when
I carelessly sat on it one day. I blame Space Ghost Coast to Coast for
making me laugh too hard. I think I said something like, "Jumping
Jupiter" when it happened, I forget now, but it was a good fit so I kept
it in there. Plus it's a sofa bed so it folds out for when company
comes over.
So golly bum, you like the new Marathon site eh? Hats off to Frigidman
for amazing us all YET AGAIN! Sign up for a membership Bryant and bless
us with your humor at the forums. Eh? Eh?
