Duplicate roms and removing them

Howdy folks, I was wondering what can I use to remove redundant and
incomplete roms, games, clones of games. And have an option to restore
ones that may be playable.

I have the .92 set

I just don't need every game and it's clones taking up the space.

Also recently upgraded to a large widescreen minitor, and a plug in
graphics card, and under the .62 mame32 looks way off.

Also for my mame32, I have tried newer versions, of what it is today,
always buggy, and good mame alternatives for a computer with 2.7 gig
processor I beleive it is and with 1.5 gigs of memory

Any comments are and will be appreciated.

Get clrmamepro (www.clrmame.com) it is *the* way to get clean sets in
MAME. It's so good I use it under Wine in Linux.

Ok, great news, I was looking around torrents and found the torrent
mame 0.134 Roms after I posted and got an fast 6 hour down load. Used
clrmame pro and had some trouble figuring it out but I think I got it.
Anyway I got this, it started at 7,912 files at 19.6 GB and ended up
at
6,824 files at 15.7 GB at any rate that cleans up a lot.

I also updated to the most recent mame32b.120 and it works great and
everything looks great on the screen.

One thing though, is clrmame capable of removing bootleg and extra
sets?

With the appropriate filter enabled yes, but bear in mind that sometimes
only the clone works and the parent is broke. I think you can download
dat files for almost any combination anyways.

That is what I figured but I was having a little trouble getting it
going, then did something and got some warning that something wouldn't
be removed and without thinking I clicked go, and just decided to let
it go on. It will make much more sense when I run it again. Thanks
