It's dead since about 5 years, we're the once putting it on machines to

I wish I'd still be in my 30s.

I assume it's just like everything: I mean in may be 10 years no one
cares for social networks or goat pr0n anymore. The trend is already
towards zebra pr0n. And who knows what will replace social networks.

Anyway, we already have more articles on the first day of April here than
the whole last month.

March has always been the slow month at a.g.m. though. In April there will
at least be a birthday posting on the 24th (mine) followed by numerous
postings about beer : )

I've tried to check in once every couple of years since around 2000 I guess. I used to post under the name Namco or n4mc0. I'd always like to think that the community is still here and thriving and talking about restorations, communicating source changes, bitching about an ebay listing, or trying to identify a game for somebody based on some vague description. But alas, much of usenet is looking pretty dead. Comcast and other ISPs dealt a critical blow when they took down most of their usenet servers in the name of saving the world form child porn, floods of spam knocked it to its knees, and then finally php based boards and forums snuck up from behind and dealt the lethal blow. Sad that most of people on the Internet don't have any semblance of what it is.
