Half-Life cheats ?

I can access the console just fine "/god" will give me god mode no problem.
But god is too much, I dont want to cheat that badly just an extra battery or
clip here and there, "/give item_x or ammo_x" doesnt give me anything... ?

So, more of a "Moses" mode? Or a "baby Jebus" cheat? :-)

Is there someone here who knows how to use the cheats that can help me ?

I don't think we ever found a definative answer to this question.
Some people can use /god and /noclip OK, but other cheats such as the give
command don't work.
My thinking was that one of the newer patches screwed things up, others say
using -dev instead of -console is the culprit.
I think I have some older responses here, I'll try and dig them out.

BTW, my computer started screwing up and I had to uninstall Half-Life the
other day after two years of continuous service, so I'll trial and error
this problem soon when I reinstall, not that it does you any good now.

What "loading screen" ? This is something different than the console ?

The loading screen Pollo means is the jump between
2 levels during normal gameplay, when the next area is
loading. Usually coms up with a "loading" message on the screen.

Ah, gotcha now.
Does it matter if it is a quick load or passing to a new level ?

LOL actually I've heard of a game that actually had a "moses mode",
though it was an old naval game...

You can also just type status to get the map name (in console) then type
changelevel <mapname>
