My morning ritual here at work starts with me brewing up a pot of coffee. I
grind up some good French roast beans, use spring water, and make it nice
and strong.

So strong, in fact, that no one else in the building can stand it. They
bitch that I don't brew up the dirty dishwater they crave.

I maintain that if coffee is not opaque when poured, it is too weak.

They don't like pickeled eggs either!

What a bunch of wienies I work with.

I'm with 'ya, Lynrd. I keep on telling them, they make the coffer
filters that big because they're supposed to be filled to the top. Does
anybody believe me, though?

"That's crazy, Ray."
"Christ, this f*ck*ng mud."
"It's too damn strong."
"F*ck that, I'm making my own pot"

Blah blah blah...cowardly bastards!

Stroking my strong coffee, wishing more people loved it :(,
Ray

sissy. french-press coffee needs at least 7 minutes to be palatable.

What do you mean by 'here'? People in Leicester say 'espresso'. :oÞ

I remember Espresso coffee-bar cafes.
Triumphs, Reliants, bubblecars - the laughs.
I remember rocker bikes v. mods Vespa.
They're all there, my old memories of Leicester.

And you stated that the 'expresso' machine was in Leicester. the place
where people say 'espresso' like they have since the 60's. And you should
call the guys at Espresso Studios and tell them they buggered their name.

I am *so* sure that it's 'espresso'... :P

The coffee places here are even worse. I ran right around town a few
weeks ago with my friend, and not one single place understood the term
'short black'. They'd say "erm... we... we can do it without milk, i
think..."

Just for those that might not know, we won't be hearing from the

He once said that to me, something like "Here at alt.flame, you live and
die by the sword, which here at alt.flame are words, and if that's the
case, you have no chance".

Reminds me what the Coyote told Bugs Bunny in a toon, "My name is Wil E.

inevitable".

From the latest MeowWatcher (I notice the anti-Snuh rhetoric is gone):

The End Is Near. Finally.

After raging on for six months (and at various points involving
nearly everyone in Meow) the flamewar between Dean Humphries and Menjy
appears to be nearing it's end. What started out as a pissing match over
Meow vs. Snuh has, at various times in it's existence, spawned the
posting of db6* internal groups posts, multiply-managed sock puppets,
and towards the end became a bitter slugfest over the disappearance of
Fred Ziffel and the reasons behind it. And then last week Menjy
discovered his killfilter. Can this mean the end of the Meow/Snuh War?

We can only hope.
