As long as ther is a keybord hooked up to your PC the cheaters will
never stop. The game is MADE to be modded and editable so time goes on
people learn more and new hacks/cheats will come out all the time.
As we can see the support/patches are on the LAST thing to do list for
Sierra...... they got are money now they dont care! What pisses me
off is that I and many actualy had to pay for the CS retail ver.
If i would have known about the wallhacks/autoaim/ and finaly even the
Punk Buster HACKED Ver. I never would have actualy bought this shit.
Its the way things always go with PC based games.
So thats why I say I cant wait till the X-Box comes out. Id like to
see them try and hack a console based game...... good luck you pig

doing it? They would have to be half retarded not to release patches for the
most popular online game. Some of the cheats probably cant be stopped by the

Actually, you CAN hack a console game. It's called a GAME SHARK, and
it's even easier to use than a hex editor.

I cant see what others are seeing on ther own screens obiously, but
what i do know is the hacks/cheats/ ...... are out ther big time. You
cant just look at a guy and say " WTF look at him, he looks like a
cheater, I can tell by the way he looked at me! " When i see the gap
from 1st place guy with 35-3 and 2nd is 17-11 that tells me something.
Aside from that this is not the first FPS game i played i play and
ladderd with some great players i know what a good player can do, so
when i see perfect singal head shots mowing a team down consistanty
all night thats a cheat sorry.

yes i have ther are others as well, only thing is those are made for
YOUR console and in a single player game, Ther are many more factors
involed in a tcp/ip game.

I would guess trieng to do so would posibly crash everyone or freeze
themselfs. I really dont see it happing to the degree "I" have seen

Aside from that the X-Box has a DVD drive, do you or anyone you know
have a DVD recorder? how will you copy the disk after you finnished
messing with the code???

I never said they owe us anything. I couldent care if the patched it
into a nice game of Space Invaders for all I care. I personaly dont
feel they or anyone making pc games can stop it. I just feel that
people "just like me right now" are unhappy with the situation this
game has falling into. Cuz its a great game, and its sad when all you
hear people saying is "That guys cheating!!!" meanwhile hes just a
great player.... It kills the full enjoyment out of it, and makes
people too PARANOID to have fun.

paranoid on the matter. Cheats exist, yes, and some pretty bad ones at that,
but there's far more paranoia going around than actual cheaters.
This game's been around since 2 years, and there are still quite abit of
oldschoolers around(try jumping in a game of tribes1 or quake2 and see if ya
dont get yer ass wasted up n down, if ya never played them before)... so now
(since CS 1.0 commercial) you got all these newbies hopping in the game and
getting their asses wasted by old time players, and well, as a result you
get crys like cheater, lammer, etc.
Of course with those newbies hearing about cheats dont make things better,
it just gives them another reason to start accusing ppl better than them :(

killing the game...not the real cheaters. 99% of the time online when ya
hear someone crying cheater...it's just a bunch of bull comming outta some
newbies mouth...unfortunate but true....soooo, dont let the paranoia get to

You obviously don't have a very firm grasp of code there, fella. Just
about everything you said can't be done, has been done years and years ago,
and continues to be done to this day. TCP/IP is a set of protocols, and has

Yes, I do have a DVD Burner. I've had one for awhile. Technology spreads
quickly. In two years, just as many people will have a DVD burner as have a
CDRW now.
There is NOTHING invented that can't be hacked. Even the "hack-proof"
DSS cards have been 'hacked' by people building their own ROM burners.

Bleem made a playstation emulator for the dreamcast, what they do is put a
cd in the console and the console loads the emulator into the consoles
memory, and then you remove the emulator cd and put the playstation cd in
the dreamcast and you can play.
You could probably use the same method to load a memory resident memory
hacking tool or whatever that way. Oh and why burn the dvd? just unhook the
dvd drive and put a harddrive in its place, or hook the xbox's hardrive up
to the pc :P
ok nough goofin round.... hacking games n cheating aint cool, but the point
is, that with a bit of imagination and determination, anything is possible.

Um no its not and ATI only wishes they could be a part of the X-box I
gave up on ATI after i bought the Rage Furry max 128. It NEVER showed
the fog in Rogue Spear and i hated that. So i got a Gforce card (fixed

being killed etc. Anyway at first it weas great the bots were playing better
then most the ppl I played against on servers. Then I began watching the
bots & found they can see thru walls, at first I was like naw i'm mistaken,
but after much testing I found I was correct 8(.
Anyway so much for the cheat free game but at least the bots are more civil
then most the ppl on the servers 8P........

Well yes and no, when commercially available cheat chips for various
consoles are around, to my past knowledge were for games that are not
able to connect with others as with the x-box and future others over
the net. So when you do use the cheats your only effecting your own
game. So if they are made for x-box or any other game console im sure
the company would HAVE to be some type of underground crap. Because we
all know it blows when you are "and maybe not" cheated, it kills the
full impact of the game. So i cant seen any legit company doing it
without some type of resistance from Billy boy.
Id like to add im not trying to say the x-box rules the universe, or
is the ultimate system that its unhackable. But i think its a good
system that will be fun experience. We are all gammers we all love
good games and knowing its fair changes it all around into a * nice
head shot man, wtf were you hiding i dident see you GJ!*. I don't
*feel* that you will see even 1 out a thousand people are cheating
when your playing.
Lets be realistic here its a console game its not going to be as easy
as with a pc most people don't know squat about any tech crap, so i
don't see " the masses " running home and start ripping open there new
x-box to pick out a factory chip and replace it with some no name chip
ordered from some black market shop or some crap. Not to say it can
never be done BUT UNTILL then It might very well be the best thing
that ever happened to us guys and galls. I seen this one FPS trailer
for it imf sorry i forget the name of it, but its defiantly not Halo
that looked incredible i mean the shit that makes you miss work, lie
to you girlfriend, or skip school over cuz of sleep deprivation LOL
Even at its worst i cant see it ever being as bad as the stuff we see

Cheaters IMHO are not gammers out of love, they are just people that
found a way to beat people at SOMETHING, otherwise they would just
suck and be made fun of, like with everything else they try to do in

Next to that - the XBOX is a pc-based console machine, in theory you
should easily be able to either hook it up to your pc, or even emulate
it from your pc.

This is largely irrelevant as net play is simply another access point to
the machine, consoles have been hacked and cheats are available. Which
means it can and probably will be done in the future.

Hmm, cheats have been kicked into any manner of games on the net that
havent had the source code or mods accepted, diablo was a nightmare for
just that reason, Interstate 76 got so bad in exactly the same way, all on
servers hosted by or by proxy for publishers. If it can be done the
attitude of the publishers aint going to help. Cheat systems for consoles
are still sold. You could find them in high street stores. I dont own a
console so I cant give you an up to date spec on the precise bits about at
the mo, other have mentioned specifics.

No I assumed that, but I think that the idea that consoles not being
particualrly easily hackable or that they dont have a history of it and
that for some reason they wont be hacked as they move into the internet
realms is not supportable given the fact that cheat chips not only were
made and distributed but were so popular as to make it into high street
stores.

cheaters out there and it pisses everyone off. But, and that is a big BUT,
the Xbox, if you dont already know, is basically 99% a PC (dont get me
wrong, i cant wait for the xbox either) but, since games will be playable
online, and the xbox will problly have some sort of OS, then someone some
where will develop some kind of cheat program. Its inevitable, and it sucks
for those of us that dont cheat. the Xbox, as well as the PS2, are supposed
to be complete entertainment solutions, meaning you can watch DVDs, play
games, and surf the net. I hope the day never comes when someone releases a
cheat for a console game.
