Has anyone had any issues running DM Genie on Vista (64 bit)?

I get the error

error 75 Path/File access error

which is apparently giving me a bunch of registry errors.
Tech guy suggested that it was because DM Genie is a 32 bit application.

He said he thinks it will not affect the rest of the machine, but that I
may have problems off and on running DM Genie.

Any information relating to this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Rick

In article <349771....@web110501.mail.gq1.yahoo.com>,

I'm running DM Genie on Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and the only problem I
found was that it wouldn't let me save my campaigns in the Documents
directory for some reason. I don't recall seeing that error, so I don't
think it's because your OS is 64-bit.

Try to enable compability mode for the application, or run VirtualBox with a
32bit microsoft.

Make sure DM Genie is not installed in the program files directory. I
have heard for other programs that vista apparently doesnt let programs
write to certain directories and this causes errors. I run xp so I
havent had any experience with installing it to run under vista
however.

I run DM Genie on a Vista 64 bit system with no problems. Right click
on the shortcut to the DM Genie exe file, choose Compatibility and check
run as Administrator at the bottom. Should run fine and the Campaign
files will be stored in the DM Genie folder instead of under Virtual
Store folder.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have reloaded it several times so
that shouldn't be it, but the run as administrator is not something I
have done. Hopefully that will resolve everything.

Thanks guys!
