I second that. I mean, since the game is released it must be done. No more work
is being put into continuing to develop the game. therefore it is finished.

You are certainly entitled to your beliefs.
I, on the other hand, believe that space aliens, being tired of drawing circles
in the grass, gutting cows, and dealing with "probed" rednecks, EXTRACTED the
true ending and are holding it hostage until square explains how the
"Highwind" does all that morphing stuff!

Do you believe everything that you read?
(here we go into this "sentence B is false, sentence A is true" stuff again...)
Like it or not, the game has been marketed, shipped and sold.
There's no point in crying that it's not finished, because it is. It isn't
finished in the manner that you obviously want, but that can't be
helped.
Yes, it's sad that it happened to Aeris. But you must understand that
she was a victim of the one thing that no character can fight back from:
she was a victim of the plot. She died so that the story could move
forward.
Suppose she did come back. What impetus is there for Cloud and
company to go after Sephiroth after Cloud and Tifa's big flashback-fest?
There isn't one. She's back and can, from all evidence and hints in the
story, take out the meteor by herself.
In a way, I guess, she did give up her life for the planet. Her death
gives Cloud the conviction and courage to face Sephiroth.
You can talk about "evidence", credibility and time-constraints until
you turn blue (and you probably will). I, for one, am satisfied with FF7
the way it is. The story just wouldn't have as much bite if it happened
any other way.

If she was resurrected, it would just make that whole scene (and most of
what comes after it) useless. Buugen Haagen (I LOVE that name) wouldn't
have come to the Ancient City to watch the movie, and so forth. Also, I
wouldn't have been affected as I was every time i went into a shop and
saw a spear type thing for sale.. *sigh*
Oh well, enough rambling

Well, I remember there only being one heroine at the beginning of the
game. Obviously, after Aeris dies, there is a hole in the party, but
with the sequence in Cloud's head... I haven't finished the game yet,
since I can only rent the PSX unti Christmas, but it seems Tifa has
filled the role of heroine (and possibly female romantic lead) quite
nicely, and she's not as pushy as Aerith was.
And if you ABSOLUTELY need another female in the group, there's always
Yuffie. ^_^

Ok, this comes out a little wierd nick. I read the thing, and it seemed
to just be answering if there was going to be a FF7#2. Is that what
your trying to point out or are you trying to point out that the ending
and plot ties up all the loose ends?

For even more confusing dialogue, name Cid "Captain".
"I'm Captain, but everyone around here just calls me the Captain."
One time I was really bored and named every character in Chrono Trigger
"What?". It was the most confusing game I ever played. ;)

Because when every one dies they return to the planet, in that sense
they will be together again.

Plus wouldn't it be a tad un-dramatic? I mean why bother with
a resurection sub-quest? Why not just have it so that if Barret is in
the party he goes 'yo bitch, get your ass up here' and throws here a
phoenix down? I mean Yang in FF2 was bad enough but this would be
horrible.. urg, Aerith's death was propably the best single moment in
any rpg and to undermine that moment just so you could fight the end
battle with her would make me extremely pissed at square. Well in any
case its VERY easy to look at the CD and see if its there. If it isn't
then they didn't put it on the cd.. Thank god for that, as hopefully
the goofiness that went on during FF4 and 6 shouldn't last too long..
(Personally I think FF7 is the most polished/finished feeling FF game
yet.. no obvious "pulled" things like FF4 and there wasn't any
shadow's dreams type (sorta half done) things either..)
