It looks like another one of those Asian RPGs like the Final Fantasy games. I
really, really don't understand what so many people see in those things. You
see the trailers on TV and then you see the action screens in the games and
think WTF!!??!

Actually I liked Star Ocean (the one I played in the PS2) a lot. It's
definitely not a FF game at all. But I agree, for trailers... remove
the cutscenes and show me gameplay. I could create awesome cutscenes
for a chess game, it's almost like those super cool covers they used
to put in old Atari 2600 games, they had nothing to do with the game.

I think if they removed those cutscene adverts and only put in gameplay from
the FF games the advertising would not be as successful. They know it too
otherwise they wouldn't do what they do. Come to think of it I don't ever
remember seeing an FF advert with gamplay footage.

I enjoyed it, the fighting style was worlds different from the FF games
of the time.
