Did he say he was gonna post it here? I wish everyone would just quit
snapping at each other. It's like everyone's got freaking PMS around here
or something.
And yeah, Artist, go to Crunchie's group and post away. I'd like to see.

This loneliness within me
takes a heavy toll
because it burns as slow as whiskey
in an empty aching soul
And the night is like a dagger;
long and cold and sharp
as I sit here on the front steps
blowing smoke rings in the dark...
it seems quite alive to me. unless you *want* config to win their little war
with us, then yeah you can give up. but it wont die as long as i draw
breath. ive been here since nearly the beginning, and i aint gonna abandon

Ummm. . . I'm going to turn stoopid for a moment- what's the name of Crunchies
newsgroup? I'm sure I've seen it before, but I never took a gander at it. . .

if we all take the shit that crunchie is on then we all be lovey dovey.
Go through Remarq. They get Crunchie's. Get a new ISP that does have her
NG. Ask your ISP to start carrying it. My ISP gets every newsgroup under
the sun at this point - out of curiousity, which is why I'm also posting
this to alt.config (all replys from agffh please take them out of the
header) - is there an alt.fan.willie.nelson? I've seen a ton of other
.fans, but never one for Willie.

It means "Once an idiot, always an idiot." I only knew the word "baka", but
apparently the phrase is so popular I actually found the whole thing in an
English-Japanese dictionary.

I did a quick search at isc.org and found nothing.
The proper name if there was one should be alt.fan.willie-nelson.

Jolly good idea. I'll eat the pink ones, if you don't want 'em...
Wait, did they make pink peeps? Or am I thinking of those marshmellow
rabbits? I'm feeling left out that I missed that whole big peep thread a
few days back...eep.

Ah reckon it ee-is. That southern talk is all accented sylablles, Japanese
is all accentless drone.

Yeah, think you got it covered. First, and most important, thing to learn
before visiting another country is how to ask for beer. Easiest way to
make friends and be accepted. Especially if you are buying. Cervesa, por
favor. And don't call anyone pinchee(sp?) hoto unless you want to fight.
Where you going in Honduras?
TM
PS: 'beer' is real easy in Japanese, romanji is 'biru', pronounced
'beer-u'. One of those words just snatched from English. And Japanese beer
is damn tasty. And sold in vending machines...

Ah. Bird hunting.
Never been to Honduras. Got a bunch of friends in Costa Rica, thinking of
visiting next winter and maybe trying to drive up to Guatemala. Always
wanted to see those Mayan ruins. Then again, might try Bolivia, know some
people just came back from there, spent days wandering around in the
mountains chewing leaves and drinking thick warm alcoholic slop. Sounds
like my kind of vacation.

I like visiting third world hellholes. Makes me grateful for what I have.
Spend a couple of weeks in Nepal every year.
Winters aren't that bad here, more an interest in getting somewhere with
less concrete and less people rushing about. My friends in Costa Rica are
all in the whitewater boating 'industry'. They keep sending me pix of
gorgeous blue creeks overhung with greenery. The only rivers/creeks in
Tokyo are basically cement stormdrains and the greenery is more likely to
be dusty grey. Cities are entertaining sometimes, but unpopulated nature
is good for the soul. One of my favorite places in the States is Big Bend
in west Texas. You can wander naked in the desert for days without seeing
another human. And they got stars there. No stars in Tokyo. I think
they've been banned by government decree.

Used to go camping along the AT in Virginia when I was younger. Always
liked the Thanksgiving break. Too cold for crowds, most of whom are stuck
with those nasty family rituals anyway. Finally let a buddy of mine talk
me into deer hunting a couple of years ago. Didn't mind the early morning
hike into the woods, but I could do without the heavy firearm and the
sitting around in a tree, freezing my ass off and stinking of deer piss.
Used to know a guy in WVa who was proud of his skills as a 'car hunter'.
Once even got a turkey with that old Fiesta. He was also the proud owner
of some of the sickest mexican porno I have ever had the misfortune of
viewing.
Good to meet another Appalachian boy. Spent some of the best years of my
life hanging out in those mountains. Nice chatting with you. Now I'm off
to alt.fan.digi to see if those yutzes have tried to netcop me again.
