I just started a necromancer/human. I hear ppl collect bone chips. Are
there more valuable then selling them to vendors for gpcs? If so, what
other stuff should I be saving?

Necromancers need the chips to cast their pet spells, as well as other
spells -- as I learned to my regret.
===
"Hey, do bone chips decay with time? I had 28, now I've got 4."

Miskin casts *Numb The Dead*.

"Oh, crap, I've only got 2 now!"
===
Now, I remove all components before casting a new spell, just to make sure.

If at first you don't succeed, cheat. Cheat until caught, then lie.

By all means save your chips. When you get over 20 bank them so you dont
use up too many slots. When you stop getting exp from killing skels you
will be glad to have a banked supply.

Just bone chips. We all have bags full of them. My advice is to almost never
sell bone chips. But bags and boxes to store them in. You will go through
times when skels are convenient to hunt and you may think you have no need
to store any up. But then you will move on to other prey and find yourself
without chips.

Shaman collect snake scales (the skins you get from newbie snakes).
If you want to make an instant freind out of a shaman, drop a pile of
20 snake scales on him. Anone who gives me scales gets to be the
lucky recipient of every buff spell I own (currently six of them).
They usually are so happy that they bring me more.
