If you missed it, B said that they will not be making anymore DLC for Skyrim. ES will now be a MMO game.

Well, considering I've not even completed Dawnguard and haven't started
Dragonborn, despite now being on my 4th char, this might actually give
me time to do so!
I'm really looking forward to ESO and the next Fallout game too. And
whatever TES 6 brings...

I had a quick go at Dawnguard. Stupidly I didn't create a save before making
an important choice. I chose Vampire, played it for a bit and hated it utterly
and have no way of going back now. Unless there are some clever tricks you can
do via the console to both reset my quest progression and undo the skills
gained I'm stuck.

I know I could play through and not use the vampire powers but I suspect the
all the quests will now be geared towards that. Seriously, who at Bethesda
though it was a good idea to have a floating vampire lord that looks like a
Dracula rip-off. I haven't touched it since. I have seen on YouTube that there
is a way to undo the curse and remove your vamprism but you have to complete
all the quests to do that and I just can't be arsed as it pretty much ruined
my game for me. I will looking forward to playing Dragonborn too....

From http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Vampirism_%28Skyrim%29

Curing vampirism
Conventional method

Ask any bartender about any rumors going around, and they direct
the infected person to Falion in Morthal, who studies vampires.
Traveling to Morthal while at Stage Four vampirism can be difficult,
since hostile persons will attack the vampire on sight.
Once there, he informs the vampire that a ritual can be performed to
reverse the curse. A filled black soul gem is required first. The Black
Star cannot be substituted for this gem. Falion offers to sell the
vampire a Black Soul Gem, if they cannot acquire one through other
means.
Fill the Black Soul Gem by casting Soul Trap on a humanoid target.
Meet Falion at the stone circle to cure the infection.
Falion endlessly agrees to cure vampirism, so the quest can be
completed multiple times if infected multiple times.

Lyncanthropy

Becoming a Werewolf cures Vampirism. Aela the Huntress turns the
Dragonborn into a werewolf during the Companions questline.
Console commands

Another way of curing vampirism is via console commands; open the
console and type, setstage 000EAFD5 10. By using the console command
code showracemenu to change the Dragonborn's race, vampirism is
immediately removed. This is also true of the changesex command.

The console command doesn't work for me but I'm using a vampire mod that
may be conflicting with it.

Oh a warning, if you are using a custom race and you use the
showracemenu all your stats will get reset too (at least mine always
do), so you might want to write them down first and player.setav
<skillname> <skilllevel> for each afterwards - your level remains intact
as does everything else I think, just the skill levels get randomized.
Not sure if this happens using the default race, so save before trying
it if you go this route for anything.

[I've mostly used it for changing face/hairstyles after adding a new
mod.]

Thanks for that. I will try a combination of things to reset all of my quests
to an initial state and see if I can join the Dawnguard instead. I would
imagine that simply removing my vampirism would have no influence one my
progression with the vampires as opposed to Dawnguard so both would need to be
done for a full reset.

Wow, sounds surprisingly easy after the long and involved (and
ultimately often useless due to bugs! >< ) method in Oblivion...
[I've got like 10 filled black soul gems I don't know what else to do
with anyway...]

Good attitude! I have a long way to go in the game (with DragonBorn
also).
