I might have to just give up. The other problem I've noticed is that
whenever there's a few monsters in the area, the tracking of the video
seems jumpy, and disjointed like it's not running smoothly. I can
pretty much shoot Imps without the mouse, if I just leave the aim
point centered, but not when I can't move smoothly. I bought this
computer last summer--the game came out in , what, 2004, right? A
computer three years older than the game should be able to track
smoothly right?
And now with the Lost Souls, I can't even see the fricking things, I'm
getting bumped around so much. I couldn't shoot lost souls easily in
doom2 either, but at least I could move out of their damn way then.
Now with the tracking difficulty...I just can't get it done.
Pussy.

Yes. Pussy.
The problem is some geek asshole at ID decided that aiming with the
mouse was a good idea. It's not what I want to do and not how I want
to play the game. So take your opinion, and fucking bullshit and
shove it up your ass you little faggot cocksucker.

So don't fucking play it that way. Play it however you want. Use only
the keyboard, and continue to suck at playing. Your choice, loser.

LOL. Pussy.
Yes, yes, you struck a nerve. And you're still an asshole. But my
nerve will be healed tomorrow...
Dan C is a long-time troll and should be in your killfile from now on.
LOL :)
It takes practice. Do you use mouse in other software, like Windows?
And also, maybe the sensitivity is too high?

Not neccessarily. You shoud have at least 128 MB RAM on your graphic
card and it should be something like Nvidia 6600 or maybe ATI 9800Pro,
not sure.
Also there are some very useful tweaks of the original configuration
that everybody seams to have used in the early days. You should find a
site with those tweaks. I remember there was a shadow feature that
turned off speeds the game up for like 10 frames.

I hate that laptops nowadays don't have the floppy disk! Damn the
progress!! :)
That way the mouse cursor will move much faster ! ;)
You can turn much faster that way than using the keyboard ! ;)
