After a prolonged absence from Tristram BKDaemon looked around the town, things looked much the same as they had when he had left, with one very important difference. There were more barrels, lots more barrels.

Evidently, in his absence, the furor over the barrels had died down. People had forgotten that the only good barrel was a dead barrel. Why, theyre almost as steeped in evil as are squirrels which we all know deserve nothing more than to be killed on sight. A barrel deserves exactly the same treatment.

Those of you who have been swayed by the Seti@home crowd to distract yourself from the more important task of slaying barrels should be ashamed of yourselves. Every computer cycle spent pinging the great void of space is a computer cycle that could be spent smashing barrels to pulp. Whats that? You only leave seti@home running when you sleep? SLEEP?? Do you think the barrels and their evil lords sleep? NO If the pure of heart nap do they think evil naps with them? NO Evil does not rest, it spreads like a virus when we, the pure of heart and mind arent vigilant.

Please, help to eliminate the barrels. Stop reading this and start a game. Go down a level or two and bash the wooden fiends, remind yourself how fun it is to wrench evil out by the roots and dance on its broken body.

I'm playing Diablo again. Rest assured that I smash every barrel I come
across, and some that I don't (although this is a matter of debate).

hooked on phonics musta really helped ya with the whole "Usenet for Dummies"

I think you need to cut out the caffiene, or at least put it towards
something productive. I've got two computers you can finish building (which
will bring my twenty-four hour SETI processing system to a nicely rounded
1,300 MHz), if you like.

I go on barrel runs. I don't kill the monsters, I just teleport through
the dungeons looking for evil barrels.

People had forgotten that the only good barrel was a dead barrel.

Actually, BKs learned the hard way that to kill barrels is to die a
smoldering, molten, ear-less death to the DOW JONES. The BKs retreated
from Tristam to the privacy of their own homes to beat wood. ;P

Dude, Chapter 14 of the original version was finished over a month
ago. The new version however has a different ending and chapter 15,
but it may take me a little bit to get around to that.

hey Dumb-***. You knuckle dragging wart inducing backward walking
bandy legged EverQuest'ing traitor, stop talking to yourself like
that! You'll cause great psychological trauma to your other
personalities. Not that a little trauma wouldn't be entirely out of
place. It'll give you a little perspective on the kind of suffering
that the little hooped folk have to endure every day of their lives.
Just think of it - sawdust intollerance, dry rot, hoop blisters. And
not to mention waiting in line outside Blizzard HQ auditioning for a
part in Diablo 2's carpentry level. Of course, you don't care about
any of that do you? You heartless, sword swinging, splinter
collecting holligan!

PS: Did I mention that you haven't posted part 3 of "SilverRaven's
Nightmare" yet? I did? Good.

What on earth are you talking about TG? This makes absolutely no
sense. Please leave the part of the message you are replying to in
your reply. Otherwise people will start to ignore you thinking you're
just talking to hear yourself talk ;-)

barrels saved you the trouble of BK'ing me :)

I've been doing my best, but I've yet to attain the exhaulted heights of
Barrel Killing that you gave as such a shining example to us.

Well, truth be told, you were so efficient we couldn't get the practice
in.

I've not seen many Squirls around these days. I guess the last cul was
moderately effective.

Admonishment noted. I shall strive to do better in future.

Oh yes, and with my wimply little lvl. 15 Rogue who has almost no spells
and crappy equipment, your killing my character would be such a striking
blow. Why not just duel a chipmunk holding a spoon? It'd be about the same.

See! This is what we are talking about in the LOS. More revisionist history!
