The Galactic Conquest group is not a clan (although players in clans are
welcome to join!). It is a gathering place for Galactic Conquest players to
set times for play dates and to discuss tactics and other GC related topics.
So far the group has had a good track record of bring people together for
larger population counts on servers at a set time. In other words, the few
of us that play know when to play together. Please join if you like GC.

ummm, that's not entirely accurate, Bisquik...
The general group for the BF series is: alt.games.ea.battlefield Whereas
this one is (mainly) for BF1942 (though, there are many who think this is
the general group..).

battlefield group, but a group that discusses battelfield games from 'ea'.
But I could be wrong ofcourse? Is the game you mentioned from 'ea'?

Please let me first apologize for cross-posting. My response was to the post
I assume was directed toward me in alt.games.ea.battlefield, not
alt.games.battlefield1942. Since my post directly deals with BF1942, I don't
think the first responder would have left such a rude message on that list,
seeing as he would look like a 'retard' then for replying is such a way and
he would be showing his complete and utter ignorance.
Since alt.games.ea.battlefield is a general Battlefield list, it is proper
to post there. Many Battlefield 2 and BF 2142 players still play BF1942.
My posts were in accordance with the spirit of these two lists.
My curt reply was unfortunate since it has the markings of a flame war
written all over it and the users of these two lists do not deserve that
kind of immaturity.
It was an emotional response to an ignorant poster. If the initial responder
had just performed a quick search on Google he could have found out that my
post was appropriate and saved himself the embarrassment of his post.
Although an 'emotional response' is not an excuse for my own reply to him. I
was wrong to have called him a child. It is well known that many adults act
in an ignorant fashion as well.
So as not to detract from my original reason for posting, I hope you guys
and anyone else here can join us Saturday night at 5:00 PM EST. If you like

They are one in the same since EA makes the Battlefield series. BF1942 is a
specific group for (primarily) that particular part of the BF series.
The ".ea.battlefield" is the general discussion area for the whole series.
In the past some people have been confused and posted things about BF2142 in
the BF1942 group. Others have posted there thinking they were in the BF2
group.. It can be kinda funny at times reading the cross postings.

I was actually just asking if Galactic Conquest was an EA (battle)game.
Posting of this in 1942 group was wrong to begin with, I am in the BF group
didn`t even notice the crosslink.
