Of course, USA could be called senseless as it continues to make our
pennies even tho it costs more to make than it's worth. I suspect
someone in power has a relative employed at a mint and wants to keep
them from moving in with them due to unemployment.

Last I heard, and it was a long time ago, it cost three cents to
make one. I've not tried to find out the cost now, but I would expect
it's more.
