I bought an EA the other day, and I have a little problem. When I take off,
most ofthe time the car hesitates, and sometimes very badly. I took of out
of a side street onto a busy road , and almost had an accident. The car
lurched forward, almost stalled, took off again, then almost stalled again,
then took off properly, narrowly missing a collision. I took off from a
servo the other day, and it just didn't go anywhere, it just almost stalls.
It is a 3.9, with a 4 speed auto, and a sedan. I did an oil change as soon
as I got it home, and I have replaced the air filter. It only has the single
point injection. I also pulled the plugs yesterday, and they looked fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.

When you drive along say at 80km/h does it rumble a little... like perhaps a
cylinder is misfiring?
Check your spark plug leads... it may simply be that one has given up the
ghost.. its a cheap problem to fix.

Could be leads, battery, etc? check, clean and tighten same and anything
else that looks strange, check transmission fluid too.
