I opened last night with dinner a 1997 Ceretto Barberesco Asij. The wine was garnet in color with a fair amount of brickish cast at the rim. Very tight at first then typical nebbiolo aromas of flowers, tar and leather. Well resolved tannins with straightforward flavors of red currants and red plums with leather and cedar on the finish. I wuoldn't hold tis too much longer as it's as good as it's going to get. "B"
