Okay, I've watched pretty every episode and almost every interview
he's given. I can base his currently popularity off 3 things:

1. He's Charismatic.

2. He says things we all want to say, but never have the guts to.

3. He can, in fact, cook.

Now, I like to think of myself as a somewhat refined human being.
I'll
take on roast quail or a chocolate souffle with the best of them.
However, there is no way in everything that is holy that I can
justify
spending over $2,000 for a SINGLE MEAL. Is the food THAT much better
that it worth the equivalent of 20 other meals at a "normal" fine
dining restaurant?

I understand he's a good chef, but that's all he does... cook it.
It's
not like he creates the perfect ingredients by divine will or
anything.

Someone please explain that to me.

And while you're at it, if any of you do spend that kind of money on
a
meal, do me a favour, put it to better use. Give to the World Food
Fund:
