There are a number of quick tricks you'll soon learn to turn alot of your
favorite recipes low in fat. When you're not online, here are a few other
sources you can check:
Magazines:
Eating Well
Veggie Life
Cooking Light
Prevention Magazine
Book For Info:
Susan Powter's 'Food' This book is written in a common sense fashion that
everyone can understand. Even if you don't need to lose weight, this one is a
good read because it covers so much more than just fat sources in our food.
A couple of my favorite cooking 'bibles'...
'Prevention's The Heathy Cook' Contains tips, recipes, and info galore.
You'll learn a new technique everytime you open this book. A must-have in your
cooking library. (ISBN: 0-87596-310-2)
'Secrets of Fat-Free Cooking' by Sandra Woodruff, RD. Sandra has also
written 'Secrets of Fat-Free Baking', '...Italian Cooking', '...Chinese
Cooking,' all of which are bursting with info, tricks, and recipes.
Just Plain Good Cookbooks:
'Everyday Cooking With Dr. Dean Ornish'
By Dr. Dean Ornish (ISBN: 0-6-017314-9)
'Eat More, Weigh Less' (Has 250 great recipes in it)
By Dr. Dean Ornish (ISBN: 0-06-016838-2)
'Moosewood Restaurant Low-Fat Favorites'
By the Moosewood Collective (ISBN: 0-517-70210-X)
'C'mon America, Let's Eat'
By Susan Powter (ISBN: 0-684-81317-3)
'The Best Low-Fat, No-Sugar Bread Machine Cookbook Ever'
By Madge Rosenberg (ISBN: 0-06-017174-X) Note: some of these recipes use a
great deal of salt.
If you're into haveing your cookbook on your computer, 'MasterCook's
Cooking Light' looks interesting. I haven't bought it, though.
I hope this gets you started. Have fun.
Sincerely,
Auden
