The latest nationwide survey on burger chains released in September ranks
Five Guys as the nation's favorite. Dairy Queen is ranked last.

The top three are: Five Guys, In-N-Out, and then Fuddruckers.

The bottom three are: McDonald's, Jack in the Box, and then Dairy Queen.

Interesting. The links work fine with my version of Firefox (15.0.1). But

One thing I noticed about the survey is that Carl's Jr is rated notably
higher than Hardee's. Go figure.

The survey was conducted by Market Force Information

We got plenty of bars, especially the south side of Pittsburgh, that make
great hamburgers, most put chains to shame.

I've only had Jack In The Box a few times but it should rate higher than
Wendy's (and those below it). Never had Sonic so I can't comment on that.

What I find interesting looking at the chart is that Carl's Jr. has a 2 1/2
times *higher* approval rating than Hardee's even though they're the same
chain (just with a different name in different regions of the country).

I personally don't think Five Guys should be the #1, but I've only been
there once.

I think the CLEAR choice for the number one spot is, Mcdonald's.

Do they have the same menu items? I have had Hardee's years ago and it
was good but not great.

No.

Not great? It's fast food, good is good enough. Of all the fast food close
to me, if I could only eat fast food, Hardees would be it.

Sonic would be choice number 2.

Taco Bell #3.

I won't eat anything from McDonalds or Burger King simply because I find
them nearly inedible. Wendy's? Haven't been in one in many years.
Arby's? They can go the way of the buffalo and I'll not notice. I think
they had good sandwiches about 30 years ago.
Best value around here is a big, fat sandwich from the grocery store for
$3.99. Half a baguette full of salami, cheese and some other deli meat.
Take it home, pop it in the toaster oven for 20 minutes on low heat to warm
the meat, melt the cheese and give the bread extra crust and you have a
meal.

Or you could press it on the stove with 2 hot skillets for a faux cuban.
Any way you do it, it's a good deal.
They sell the bread alone for $3. $1 more gets you all the sandwich
fillings included. You still have to stop at a fast food joint and steal
all their mustard, but that's just part of grocery shopping.

I don't normally eat at hardee's, even though the food tastes really good.
but honestly it's just not worth the wait... Every burger sold there is
angus, which means extra drive-through time. This is unnacceptable, so I
don't go there anymore.

At least mcdonald's has the OPTION of angus burger's, but with the majarity
of people, including me, ordering the traditional, FASTER burgers.
Personally I think that Angus should be banned in the drive thru and served
only inside the store's.
