Would pencis grated over Toad-in-the-Hole be sufficient, or should I
consider doing something adventurous with diving weights?
If you've any suggestions I'd be grateful to hear them!
Best regards

1) Pay attention to your software. Sixteen posts of the same message
would be beyond annoying even if the message is of some importance
(yours would not fit in that category, IMNSHO).
2) Since you like to claim your comments are serious questions, as
opposed to posts that are beyond stupid, here goes: No, you don't need
to add lead. Less lead is considered good. If you're really worried,
be sure the meat you used came from animals killed with lead bullets
(even with the bullet removed, that should provide more than ample
supplement).
3) Lead additives has absolutely zero to do with barbecue (as have the
bulk of your posts...If I might humbly suggest
rec.food.cooking...those folks would be happy to assist you with your
eclectic food questions.

Yes, the lead pencils would probably be your best bet. You could use the
wooden pencils. Just shove them into a pencil sharpener and turn the crank
until they are all gone. Then, empty the leavings catcher into your mashed
potatos, or carrots, or peas, or whatever. That way the pensioners would
not only get a daily supplement of lead, but would also get fibre.
Good Luck...
Glad to see you've back, was afraid that you would upset and ignoring us .
Anyway, it's a common misconception that pencils contain lead. In fact the
pencil lead are graphite. But, do not eliminate pencil shaving from the
diet as they are an import source of fiber.
For the dietary lead, if leaded petrol is still available in your area, that
be consume. Though only drink it, do not use for cooking (well maybe for
cherries jubilee). Also refrain from smoking afterwards, it cause a
headache.
Another important source of dietary lead is solder, though one must be
careful to avoid the lead-free solder many home center carry. Melt the
solder in sauce pan and stir the solder into the other ingredients you are
preparing,. Some binding may occur in the older gentlmen, so add a dash of
motor oil after stirring in the solder.
Snipped.

The paint is another story. Older pencils were painted with lead sulphide
pigment.

Tetraethyl lead is easily absorbed. And potent; microgram quantities
should be suitably nasty.

"Lead free" solder is cadmium-tin alloy. Cadmium is equally toxic.

I do try to avoid it, but sometimes it's tempting to give 'em a poke.
Besides, you would've known anyway, given there are currently about 5
other people who are also taking their turns. But you're point is
taken.

... Not at all, Mr. Smith, and I'm charmed to be welcomed in such a
gentlemanly manner. Uncommon these days, but much appreciated I can assure
you!

Actually Mr. Smith they ARE lead, and they have been since 14 took up
roof-smuggling. In fairness it's a plan which would have worked, if Francis
hadn't tried to reduce the shipping-weight by removing the wood. Woodless
lead pencils tend to look like thin bits of roof, and I think that's what
probably gave the game away.

Since my original post 14 has developed the ingenious plan of creating pure
lead through an alchemic process and is at this moment busy collecting
unnecessary gold to fuel the process. To be honest it seems like a lot of
trouble to go to, but I expect his fervor will have subsided by the time the
Cyclotron gets up to speed ....

... Are you being playful, Mr. Smith? Suggesting a dash of 'motor oil' and
'stirring in the solder' ...? You wicked man, I feel I might blush!
I can forgive a little gentle innuendo, but please - let's not get smutty.
Best wishes

Mrs Walters, please accept my humblest apologized. I afraid I have to admit
