There's nothing wrong with my email address, except that tin is inserting
my machine name into it lately, but mail will still get delivered. IT's
also a possibility that something went screwy when CAC was changing the IP
addresses of the Sun cluster machines yesterday.

But this is most likely. Try running traceroute next time if a valid email
address is failing.
