If you do a similar trawl through old discussions to that that poor Danny
the loser did, you'll find references over the past few years to different
levels of the counter - disproving your allegation. As it happens, the site
has been popular for a number of years, despite my not changing it often. I
ought to put some of my new paintings up and I'll try to find the time soon.

It is funny what people choose to disbelieve - I think it rather reflects on
their own honesty.

If anybody is interested the counter did start from nought - a friend of
mine told me that this was unusual and recommended starting with a higher
number, but I didn't feel that honest. It was quite a few years ago - hence
the high number.

It's a pity really that the comment on my work in the title wasn't by
anybody for whom I could have any respect - I'd have been pleased with it if
it had been.
