I'm no doctor, but that sounds like you're leaking glucose into your
urine. This is a major symptom of diabetes mellitus*, and you should
see a doctor ASAP. Really.
*"Diabetes" means "copious urination", and "mellitus" means "sweet".
Doctors used to diagnose by tasting urine, and the urine of diabetics
tasted sweet. They can't process glucose properly and it builds up in
their blood until it overpowers the sugar-retention mechanism of the
kidney and gets into the urine.

Urine color changes can depend on concentration of toxins, artificial
colors and preservatives that are ingested or amounts of vitamins taken.
Vitamin C, when taken to excess will make urine a deep metallic yellow.
Some forms of Koolaid will turn urine deep purple or red. Usually,
lighter colored urine is better and you should drink plenty of water to
keep it so...if your body is conserving water because of dehydration
urine will be darker color.
Smells in urine are also caused by unnatural medicines or chemicals
ingested. Hormones also affect the smell and perhaps it is a throwback
to a more primative time.
Various animals mark their territory by urinating against branches
whatever. I was wondering if there is any scent in Human Urine specific
to a human, male/female differences?
I suppose animals that do mark have a special scent glands (musk?). Does
anyone know if there are any priamtes that mark territory?

As an undergrad anthro student, I can say that indeed many, many primates
mark their territories with urine. Most species of New World monkeys and
lemurs urine-mark, and the frequency of this behavior increases when
females are in estrus. Obviously, the urine may serve as an indication of
reproductive status for the other individuals, though this has been
difficult to prove conclusively. Many primates, including the owl monkey,
exhibit an interesting behavior known as urine-washing, where they actually
urinate on their hands and feet and walk around parts of their homerange.
Actually, my dog sometimes accidentally pees on his foot, but I think this
is a different behavior entirely.

Don't forget my favorite - Vitamin B. (i think it's Riboflavin)
It'll turn your urine a beautiful bright and almost flourescent looking
yellow. Of course, if your system really needs all that vitamin B,
all bets are off.
