Chapter 19

Ron returned to the hospital and was sent again to the waiting
room. He was informed that visiting hours were over and that he would
not likely be able to see his brother until in the morning. It was
suggested that he should go home and rest, but he had no home here, no
place to go. So, he sat in the waiting room and did what the room was
designed for, he waited.
After a couple of hours he was roused from a doze even though
he had not realized he had fallen asleep. "It's done," the old woman
told him. "I have my revenge, you have your brother. Now, take him
away from here and don't either of you come back." With that she
simply vanished. Ron would have been deeply disturbed by this site,
but nothing would ever likely disturb his sensibilities again after
the last few days here. Either his nerves had been converted to
steel, or they had been burned away, he was not sure. Either way,
nothing would ever shock him again, or at least, that was what he
thought.
The next morning, a nurse called to him from the doorway,
waking him. "You can go see your brother now," she informed him.
He entered his brothers room and was only mildly surprised to
see that he had recovered at least most of his youth if not all.
"You're looking great, Tom. You ready to check out of here?"
"Why yes, kind suh. Do be a gentlemen and help me now if you
would be so kind."

I concur. But it shouldn't be the end! Then what? THEN WHAT?

Thanks, working on ideas for a new story even now. Not sure about the
currently unnamed one, a fragment of which I posted earlier, a bit
different from what I normaly write, but hey, the idea here is to
practice my writing and try to diversify it, so who knows.. maybe that
is the one I should pursue. If not, then another idea will surely
come soon. :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought this.

Great story. I've even got my son reading your stories. I need to google all
of Cottage Creep for him to read.

Well, of course! But I am a lady, rather than a gentleman.

I always look forward to your stories.
