United Airlines computer outage

Passengers in several cities say a massive computer outage has
stranded United Airlines passengers at airports across the country.
This is at least the third major computer outage for the Chicago-based
airline since June.

I suspect that the merger with Continental is the proximate cause of the
issues, which implies that a buyout would only make things worse...

Should have switched Continental to United's system instead of United to
Continental's.

We had one ourselves just last week.

Ours hasn't been that frequent, but there was another last year or early
this year.
