(I guess I owe you an explanation.
It's all my fault. I was showing a guy at work how to post an article
rather than follow one up, because he was getting nasty mail about
his articles about the "AT&T calander" program in news.groups.
So I quickly posted the following message to talk.bizarre (I didnt really
want bunches of "we received your article" from a TEST group):
"I propose the newsfroup rec.fucking"
And two things happened. First, "froup" caught on. Like wildfire. Hell, it
was a typo, but I was too embarrassed to admit it.
Second, it led to a discussion that ultimatly led to the creation of alt.sex.
So blame me Karl, it's all my fault.
Froup. Honestly. I almost believe some of these people would wear their
underwear on the outside if I said it was a good idea.
And I must say I'm very disappointed that alt.sex was formed, i said
REC.FUCKING, not alt.sex. Hell, if I wanted alt.sex I could have just gone
and created it, no vote, no bullshit.
I figured any site too spineless to carry rec.fucking wouldnt be making
a significant contribution to that group anyway.
Just like the way talk.bizarre REALLY REALLY REALLY misses Jim Sitek.
