Now who's lyin' to who? According to CNN, NWA, AP and every other source,
the pilots are the ones who let the deadline run out. Now you flyboys say
that management let the deadline run out. Why should I believe a union
mouthpiece who's is advocating that the members leave 70,000 ppeople
including young children and infants stranded all over the country?

Get OVER yourselves and GET BACK TO WORK!

Using Slick Willie's patented "for the children"
excuse is nothing less than a dastardly response to
a labor dispute that has been ongoing (read:negotiating)
for 2 years.

Oh... I beg your pardon... I see your post is "To NWA Pilots".
I am *not* a NWA pilot, but couldn't resist commenting on such
an asinine statement.

How about taking your own advice and 'get OVER yourself'.

There was a neutral third party at the negoiations, named
the National Mediation Board. Wait for their version of what
happened before making such sweeping conclusions.....

The people of California told the NWA CEO (who had visions of buying the
governorship), just where to take his nasty red airplane and what to do
with it. His record of slash and burn preceeded him. Northwest is in
the black because of the sacrifice of people like NW Pilots, and other
Northwest employees. Now, it's the pilots turn. The public had
adequate warning the strike was in the offing. Let 'em ride the
Grayhound.

Go Pilots!

OK first what the hell does the state of CA have to do with this or is this
just another typical obfuscation technique by a deluded union supporter?

Second, the pilots are making an AVERAGE of $120K per year for 14 days of
work a month those are FACTS. The union has admitted that they went on
strike to set a new higher standard for pilot benefits. For this reason
they stranded 70,000 people included infants, elderly & small children.
More FACTS.

Third, Northwest is in the black because good economic conditions and good
business practices. Yes the pilots and employees are critical to their
success but the pilots are WAY OUT OF LINE on this one.

Finally, I want to see you take a bus to Japan smartass!

In defense of the fellow trying to obfuscate, Al Chechi is the "chainsaw al
dunlap" of NW airlines. He took over the company and ruined it - er - made it
worse than it was. Then having plundered the airline and the people of Mn, he
went back to Ca and decided to try to buy the governors office. But the wise
people of Ca fortunately realized that this guy, unlike Clinton who never
inhaled and Gov Brown who never exhaled, had never stopped getting high on the
worst s***of all - himself!!!!! Hope this helps explain what the previous post
was all about.

And yes - pilots are way overpaid. They are killing off the medical professsion
because the docs make allmost as much as the jr pilots, so lets get real here
and kill off the NW airlines.

I happen to personally know a few NorthWest pilots. One of them made
the comment that their motto is "We're not happy until you're not
happy."

I guess they're gettin' happier, eh?

Why do I get the feeling people have a problem when a group of employees get
together (form a union) and use that power of the group to better themselves?
Who are we (outsiders/the public) to decide what is fair pay and benefits?
Bitching about the pilots wanting to much is about as stupid as me bitching
about how much the NWA owners Checci and Wilson made last year. They do what
they do because it is legal. I can only guess the critics are just jealous of
what they have.

The company could have avoided a strike by giving the pilots what they asked
for. In my opinion they can afford it. They must share equal blame for all
problems caused by the strike. So a bunch of people get stranded, big deal.
The lives of these people are not in danger, they just suffered an
inconvenience. Were you looking for sympathy with that young children and
infants line?

I don't know why you have that feeling. Maybe you ought to sit in a corner
somewhere and contemplate your navel 'til you figure it out.

No I wasn't looking for sympathy and obviously you've never been stuck in
an airport for an extended time with a small child or infant. It's
particularly pathetic that it was caused by a bunch of ego crazed flyboys
with delusions of grandeur.

The fact you don't have a good reason for your whining proves my point. Better
yet why don't you explain your position instead of replying with that drivel?

Well it sure looks like it. Then making statements like "ego crazed" and
"delusions of grandeur" shows you have little knowledge as to why the pilots
went on strike. If you read those stupid ads NWA has been buying I can see
why. Do yourself a favor and learn a little about what is really going on
before you make degrading remarks.

Now now. Lets not be vulgar about the government just because it is. After all,
