Pleased to tell you that my grandson has been accepted in the best artschool
in Bergen. This is, of course, after regular school is over.
He's really very happy about it, but it is sooo expensive! Well, he may
become a future famous painter so what?

Good on him. Perhaps he will get to go to Seattle, a long way from

Oh, that's great, Kelly.

I remember you had some of his pictures on a web site, and they were just
amazing for his age.

So maybe he really will become a famous painter!

Yes, I have a page with his early things on geocities.

A year ago (he was 9 1/2) me made this for me:
http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=7146622&uid=574791

His teachers really think he's gifted.

Who knows, we already had a famous painter in the family, so why not another
one? -:)

His youngest brother is taking after him and at 5 he's also very good. But
unfortunately, I haven't been as clever to collect his drawings-:(

Indeed. I want to say there seems to be a genetic component
sometimes, but then it could also be exposure in some cases.

Yes, i'll have to tell him just that, he doesn't have his brother's patience
though. he can sit for hours drawing - he did that at the age of 5 too.

My mother had black hair like a raven and so did both my grandfathers. But I
had one grandmother who was blond and one redhaired.
But Frédéric looks more like his French family, that's for sure.
