Maeve suggested that I let you know a bit about me -so you can get to know
this new UK person! so here goes , hope you dont get bored.
Born in Urmston , Manchester, so this explains my lifelong relationship with
Manchester United! Only child but not too spoilt. Lived in ECCLES - well
known for its cakes and of course the Goons character.
Still have lots of friends in this area so I go North quite often.
Did several jobs, also, I lived in Iraq for a while until our dear friend
Sadaam 'kicked me out'. returned to UK, then went to Liverpool
university -studied social sciences and gained social work qualification.
Stayed in Liverpool to work for a few years, then worked in Germany .
Worked for SSAFA, and held honary rank of Captain, which was a bit of a
giggle.
Met hubby there and married in Dusseldorf. He was from Brum and since set
up a business here, which is why we have stayed, plus girls at school etc

Now I'm 53, still married and being a late starter, have 2 lovely daughters
aged 19 and 15. I work full time as a manager of a community mental
health team and a team for homeless people with mental health problems and
'challenging behaviour'
\Interests - art, reading, cooking, skiing _ but have injured leg at present,
swimming and travel, etc. Did a degree with the Open University (distance
learning) about european humanities and art history - good excuse for some
good trips round Europe.thoroughly enjoyed it.
Now I am trying to learn how to do word processing and
spreadsheets -properly! ( also learning how to send messages to the group
etc. by trial and error.) and French with my daughters.
well thats me or part of me, hope it helps you get to know me
bye for now, love Sue

I was very moved by your messages about George, and the La vie en rose site.

Hallo Sue, es freut mich Sie kennen zu lernen! You have led a
fascinating life, thanks for sharing that with us. And your expertise
when it comes to problematic behaviour will come in handy in this
group! Write me an email and let me know what you think of Richard
and Keith and people of similar ilk, okay? <LOL> Paul <wondering what
SSAFA stands for>

Well, I'll tell ya Ann..... Some of our seniors are taking to
the PC like a duck to water. Others, well.... lets just say
they need written instructions to keep them from forgetting
what they are supposed to be doing. <vsg>

Dear Sue always knew you were going to turn out to be a very
interesting lady......What a varied life you have led....Your work
with the mentally ill could be very useful to you here....We have our
moments, as the previous posts will tell you......Where else could you
get the discussion of bodily functions with such enthusiasm and
fervour.
Anything goes here....I think we are all learning to be more tolerant
and less judgmental.....and I think you will find that we all have
something to contribute..LOLL
Nice to have you among us......If you ever need help.....(don't ask
me, I'm a virtual novice) there is usually someone called Jim or David
who can come up with suggestions.
Bobbie:-)
