Talk about early...we've just gotten our first real nip in the air, and Chanel
has Spring 2001 out already! Gorgeous shadow quad, and blush. The quad is
called Vanities, and it's a violet tinged charcoal shimmer, and 3 pretty shades
of mauve, all shimmery. What's different about this is there is one deep shade,
and 2 mediums, and a light. I didn't like the others, as on most only one of
the colors is a crease color. This is more verstaile. The blush is also
gorgeous. Forget the name, but it's a cooler and slightly deeper version of
Bronzed Rose. Looks a bit deeper in the pan, but goes on light, with a slight
shimmer. Just gorgeous! Wish their prices were less ; (.

What did you think of the Water lip palette? I thought it was weird, the
formula is sort of hard and crumbly, with really odd frosty colors.

Are there any new glossimers?

Yes, I saw one. It was a medium deep, very cool muted purplish berry type
color. More purple than berry though. Didn't look the easiest to wear!

I like the colors featured in the palette except only one that kind
purplish. The texture kinda reminds me of the red side of the Ruby duo
that came out earlier this year -- shimmer particles held together
with gel-like substance that melted away when applied. I didn't get to
try applying them with water though. Also I was told it's for
eye/cheek/lips.

Isn't there also a purple one?? Saw it in the display, unless someone left it
there by accident! Peach sounds much prettier than the purple one I saw!

Can you cmpare it to Twinkle? Is the new one more peach or more pink? This
sounds interesting!!

it's for eyes/lips/cheeks. they're creamy, and don't mix well with water as if
they were watercolor paints.... more like mixing water into an oil-based cream.
the water intensifies the color, but you don't make a puddle of water with the
pigment in it, if that makes any sense. i've been using them with my fingers as
well as with a brush. i'm going to bring this with me on vacation as my one
makeup item, as an experiment to see if i could survive under this arduous
condition :) (actually i plan on doing much makeup shopping on vacation, so
this will be my one makeup item for only about 15 minutes, but it's the thought
that counts!!)

Galaxy? I don't get it. Do you mean the sheer pink Nars Galaxy Girl? Or
the silvery Hard Candy eye glider or polish? Or the pale blue Inouvi eye
shadow? Or the green Pupa glitter? ????????

I meant the chanel Galaxy glossimer. That is the name of the purple one with
gold shimmer right? I'm not 100% sure because mine has the french name on it. I
was at the counter thinking that the glossimer on display looked like the
glossimer in "galaxy" and it was. The purple in the display is not a new color.

Hope that makes more sense! :)

It's Galaxy. I was checking this out today and I am going to pass on
the gloss since I already have Galaxy and the other didn't seem all
that great. The eyeshadows look really nice though.

How does the new Volage glossimer differ from the Twinkle glossimer? They
sound similar.

I finally got through to the Filene's Chanel counter after trying to call
for two days and their is neither hide nor hair of any of these new products
in Western MA. :( But the counter manager did agree that there is no light
porcelain shade in the stick makeup and that they are all very yellow based.

i just saw the collection today, and there wasn't anything that particularly
drew me to it. I liked the blush and shimmer powder, but i'm sure there are
several dopplegangers out there for both of them.

The Chanel aqua set is absolutely gorgeous! It definitely appeals to
the artist in me.

It's expensive - $60, but it will probably last until the year 3000,
unless it goes bad.

I'm not sure how smooth it would go on though... It seems like it
would be a great eyeshadow highlighter. I can't imagine how it works
with water.

I think it may be exclusive to NM and Bergdorf's - maybe Saks. My local
Chanel counter said they will not be able to get it and it is a limited
item. rjudith

Bloomies had the full collection. Tried the Caprice blush and it's gorgeous.
Just a soft, sheer pop of pink shimmer on the cheeks. Guy talked me into Mocha,
but it's too deep, and warm for me, and it will soon become Caprice!

Anyone know if the Caprice blush, and the Vanities shadow quad will become part
of the regular collection? They are both so pretty, and they don't have
anything similar already!
