It has been gorgeously, unseasonably warm here. Long may it continue
thus! I spent time in the garden at our new house, prowling around
trying to figure out what might be where. Hard to stay inside on a
day like this.

Getting dressed was a challenge this morning: cold walk to work,
knowing that it'd be very warm by the walk home. I settled on:

- black Ferragamo slip-ons, with a 3/4" heel
- dark red shirtwaist dress, with dolman sleeves, full skirt to my
lower calf, beautiful buttons, fitted bodice
- black faux alligator belt
- strand of black crystal beads

For outside, my Italian hunting jacket *without the winter liner*

Cheers, m'dears

I am wearing black velvet pants.
My black thin ribbed cotton shell
A gold trimmed brocade vest with a black background.
Black flats with black socks.
I also have a silk jacket for when it gets cold in the office.

What is odd about this is that five weeks ago I was unable to wear this
vest as it was too tight. *Much* too tight.
The pants were resized a little small in about the same time frame as
when I purchased the vest.
The shirt is new and fit when I bought it last week.

With the exception of the vest, they are all too large.

The strange thing is... I haven't lost any weight this week.

In fact, I have put on three pounds.

I cannot account for this. This is so very mysterious.

I have won an auction on Ebay for a Joan of Arc Icon. Perhaps this is
a miracle....

It's cool, grey, uninspiring. Horticultural report from my morning
walk with the WOnder Dog: tiny violets in bloom in a few yards in the

big news; pussy willows abound; daffodils planted close to houses on a
southern exposure are in full bloom.

What? the Legs site is no more? I loved the flashing images of gams

completed on deadline. What I say is "Thank heavens for the last

You know, I recently discovered that I live in a time warp. Or maybe
in my very own personal time bubble, in which local time observed
never quite matches the time outside the bubble. The most glaring
clue to this phenomenon is that I virtually *never* get to work at 8,
which is my personal goal. This m orning, I was up at 4:30. Drinking
tea, reading the paper, patting WOnder Dog. Did I put that 3.5 hours
to use and get to work by 8? NO! One minute it was 4:30, the next
minute it was 7:45 and I was flying through the shower, closet, front
door. I got to work by 8:30 but without my hearing aids, a watch, or
keys to get back into the house this evening (and James is not coming
straight home. AAARGH)

Does anyone else exist in a similar curious blip in the time/space
continuum?

Its Wednesday, and we are keeping it close to the office today, tending to
writing and production chores for an assortment of projects. Cloudy, cool
(40s), with rain on and off, and the promise of sun by late afternoon...sun and
temps in the 60s and 70s by week's end! (yayyyy!)

For today, tho...
- White "smooth" cotton jersey polo shirt (IZOD)
- Black wide-wale cotton corduroy
jumper (mid-thigh hem)
- White ribbed microfiber tights (Jantzen)
- Black patent "maryjanes" (2 3/4" heel) from NineWest
- Black leather carcoat for the outdoors.

Take care, everybody!

I just bought a pearl gray unconstructed linen jacket from JJill and sadly
it wrinkled more than I expected but then I also bought a pair of Eileen
Fisher charcoal linen pants and they wrinkled far less and I notice that it
says on a leg tag that they are hand washable. rjudith

well "cards"!!!
I have received a lot of email regarding my somewhat dated style
choices, some good, others are not, but I received one from a gentlemen
in Holland who likes the knee socks/shorts Ivy league look...he is a
very nice man so I am wearing my prep stuff today for him(and my
daughter who will be with me -in public- at the mall,at least for ten
minutes!'Like mom like what are you thinking... god!'...I am going to
tell her that both of them-the girls-are going to do the mother
daughter fashion thing for Easter...let her opine about that today!)

For today:
-blue/gray wool shorts(Liz Claiborne)
-navy blue button front cotton cardigan with a little floral intarsia
design at the neck(old Orvis)
-White cotton bermuda collar blouse with a gold/pearl collar pin(old :
its by BobbiBrooks, icredible shirt after 20 years I used a little
bleach and argo starch and it looks like new)
-Navy cabble stitch cuffed knee socks
-Navy head band
-the black oxford docs(love these)

I hope all is well with you folks today!!

Its Wednesday, and we have a slew of client meetings today, and we're having
lunch with a colleague visting from out of town. This evening, taking a young
friend out for dinner, and shopping for an "interview" suit & shoes. Mostly
sunny, breezy, high in the 60s.

<gingerly making the move to the Spring/Summer side of the closet>
- Orange/tangerine linen/flax 2-pc. jacket dress (sleveless, scoop neck,
mid-thigh sheath; longer, nearly knee-length matching jacket)
- Nude sheer Hanes SR pantyhose
- Black patent leather pumps (2 1/2" heels)
- Black microfiber raincoat (mid-calf) for evening/outdoors.

take care, everyone!

I’m glad you’re feeling better today. And, BTW, I think you’re shorts

style. That is quite admirable, and something I hope you never change!
