actually the best way if its really curly is to go to a professional
salon and have them staighten it using a mild staightener and not only
will it relax your curls but it will stay with for a while without
having to spend alot of time trying to get the look you want

I did this 2 years ago (for the straight as a board look) and only ended up
with frizzy, dry, kinky hair. Not again.

I love this product. IF You buy it, buy at least two... bec they sell out
fast and they really work!

My experience with professional straightening was negative. It really didn't
straighten much in the first place and after about 3 months, my hair started
breaking.
That was just me - doesn't mean it happens to everyone.

I recently got a notice in the mail from Ouidad....apparently they are
going to start training stylists at certain salons nationwide on the
"carving and slicing" technique that is designed for curly hair. I have a
couple of questions for the group:

1. has anyone actually been to the ouidad salon in NY for a cut? if so,
what did you think?

2. does anyone know of salons in their area who will be recieving the
training?

3. has anyone purchased the video? is it actually worth $100?

I emailed the co. to find out if they intended on training any stylists
in my area (the PNW), and if so, when. They said that they were, but
couldn't say when- and sugessted I buy the video and show it to my current
stylist.
But, since a) my current stylist runs an Aveda salon- and probably would not
have anything to do w/ ouidad stuff
b) this stylist recently attacked my hair w/ thinning scissors and added
choppy layers-it's a mess (she used to give me pretty good cuts I don't know
what happened)
so I don't know that I want her to cut my hair anymore at all
c) $100 for a video?1?

sorry so long- I'm just frustrated and fed up w/ lousy haircuts- any input
is much appreciated
