Yes! The last time I did it was before the "mad cow" scare. Since then,
Ben's told me that they think it would be a problem to ship to the US. I
didn't check Schwartz but Lester's Deli in Outremont said that they
still do it all the time with no problem so I'll probably place an order
soon with them. Since I can get smaller portions vacuum packed, one
order might last a while. Then again, if I've got smoked meat in the
house, storage time is NOT an issue :)

:) I think I got the "An 1" album in 1980. I had a friend who had lived
in Paris for a few years and she'd play it a lot. After I had memorized
"Ca Plane Pour Moi" by heart, I had to buy it for myself. Since I have
no turntable, I ordered "Stop Ou Encore", which is a compilation of 19
Plastic Bertrand songs. I got it a few weeks ago through Amazon (I don't
know what I'd do without Amazon for foreign stuff!) and when I'm in the
car, I'm either listening to that or NPR. I now know "Stop Ou Encore" by
heart, too! :)

I always watch those Sunday Morning news shows (incl. Meet the Press)
but tend to flip channels a lot from show to show, depending on what the
topic is.
I keep watching The Sopranos in the hopes it would improve because I
liked the first 3 seasons. I've been disappointed.
Used to like ER but haven't gone out of my way to watch it once it
turned into a soap opera (maybe in the fifth year or so?) I still watch
it if I happen to remember it's on but never missed an episode in the
beginning.

I always eat my bagels with cream cheese and no lox. (Some flavors like
blueberry, cranberry walnut, egg poppyseed, etc. would taste crummy with
Lox, honestly...) Have to admit that with the red onion and capers, I'd get
a cravin' big time for the lox, though, just due to the saltiness factor
alone. I'd want my lox on a white salt bagel or white peppercorn bagel with
cream cheese, preferrably. Nothing to alter the taste of the lox too
greatly, in other words.
And no, I'm not Jewish, but I'm a huge lover of *good* bagels and not the
cheap ones from the bread aisle at the grocery.

Thanks! Yep, got me a new husband a couple of weeks before my BD (Oct
2nd)--kindof like an early present. :) That's one of the main reasons
I've been incommunicado for the last year--so much planning! AEF was
surprised on the honeymoon when I wore makeup and did my hair since it
had been so long since I'd spent any time on looking cute and not on
tearing my hair out over the color of the napkins.
It was all worth it--so beautiful and so much fun, but I am glad it's
over.
